After a somewhat divisive 2020, much focus was placed on what separates Americans. This years’ top video ads concentrate on classic American favorites that everyone can rally behind: beer, trucks, and fireworks.
Of the Most Viewed Video Ads from the 4th of July in 2021, two beer brands placed in the top three. Now that a large share of the country is vaccinated and cases have dramatically diminished, Americans are ready to celebrate their first major holiday. Notably, two iconic American car brands (Jeep and Dodge) also ranked within the top 10.

In this Budweiser ad, actor Bill Pullman was featured to re-enact his witty and inspiring speech from Independence Day. Pullman revisits the iconic scene to celebrate America’s independence from COVID-19. Budweiser pledged to “buy a round” if the US hit its 70% vaccination goal. Pabst Blue Ribbon
Pabst Blue Ribbon released a 1,776-pack of beer to commemorate the year of American independence. While the 1,776-pack isn’t available to the public, they are releasing a 99-pack in the near future. The advertisement ends with the phrase, “You’re welcome, America”.
In this nearly four-minute video, Macy’s emphasizes the resilience and bravery of everyday Americans by highlighting individual accounts of courage throughout the pandemic. Macy’s paints a picture of The Hero Within every American. The video concludes by promoting Macy’s 4th of July fireworks featuring music that promises to unite, inspire and heal Americans.
