This month we celebrated Mother’s Day and we’d like to take a moment to thank all the hard-working Moms out there. Now more than ever, Moms are essential parts of our homes and are juggling the responsibilities of work, raising kids, and keeping their families safe.
Some of us didn’t get the opportunity to thank them for their lifelong support in-person, but the brands below helped us sing their praises. Check out the full list of our Mother’s Day Edition of the MVVA below and try not to cry.
Facebook’s Born in Quarantine campaign celebrates the mothers who’ve given birth during the pandemic. According to Facebook, over 500,000 babies have been born. Along with the release of the ad, Facebook launched a Parent Support Hub for expecting and new parents which provides credible information from trusted sources about COVID-19, information about when doctor’s offices are open, food delivery options, and groups to find advice, along with other valuable resources.
The spot is narrated by 100-year-old Anita Sampson who herself was born during a quarantine back in 1918 during the influenza pandemic. Her message is one of hope – encouraging everyone that if she and her mother could get through it, you will too.

Many things have changed in our world over the past few weeks, especially for parents. To celebrate this new age of parenting, Microsoft released an ad showing Moms in virtual meetings being interrupted by their young kids.
Microsoft says it doesn’t want to show the “pretty, romanticized view of motherhood”, choosing to instead portray a slice of real life. Here’s to the WFH Moms.
Rounding out our list at number 10 is Peanut, a social networking platform that aims to connect women across fertility and motherhood. To celebrate Mother’s Day, Peanut released a 2-minute short film celebrating every stage of motherhood and all types of mothers.
The video focuses on a woman describing how her relationship to motherhood and Mother’s Day has changed over the course of her journey towards becoming a mother herself.
